lyrics

The heat spreads through the town
The silent house dares not to speak
Even the drunk feels no need
To yell at the moon or a tree

Only blackness, darkness
In the repose of a drunk
Not really asleep, more unconscious
Under the weight of the load

It seems that dog days are hear
These Dog Days are killing me

The leaves play games in the wind
Some letting go, some staying on
The ones letting go float to the stream
And mix with the gurgle and the rain

He lights a smoke and stares at the stream
And sees the warped reflection of his face
Dogs in the distance, hard trail ahead
Dogs a howling, hot on the scent

It seems that dog days are hear
These Dog Days are killing me
